Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mike is an adorable, friendly and playful young adult male Japanese Spitz all the way from South Korea to find a furever home in the U.S.! Seriously, Mikey will like you, Mikey likes everyone! Mike is approx. 17-18 lbs and 24-30 months old, and all puppy at heart! He is normally in constant motion, but beginning to learn some boundaries, and you may even find him occasionally napping on the couch now and again. He will jump in your lap, give kisses, then expect some tummy rubs. Mike is a flight risk, so open doors with caution! Mike loves to run and is very curious, a securely fenced and supervised yard is required. He is OK on leash, but will stay right by your side. Mike also loves toys, plus an occasional shoe, slipper, cell phone charger to chew on. Oh, no! He is learning as what is his and what is not his!! Supplying Mikey with some good chew bones (No-Hide, Raw-Hide or a nice deer antler are good choices) is a great deterrent! Mike is also very treat motivated and can be bribed, lol! Mike loves other dogs to hang with, play with, run with, so we would love to fund him a home with another young adult active dog. He is OK with cats, older kids are fine, but no small, young children. Mike is now housebroken in his foster home, but that said, he will definitely need to be re-trained in his new home, with new family, new routine and schedule...PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS VERY COMMON! He is a smart boy so it should go smoothly as long as someone is around home to teach him! Simply put, you cannot housebreak a dog if you are not home to teach and guide your new dog! Mike is really quite a little character! Mike has so much personality & potential, with a bit training he will be more perfect than he already is! Mike has been with our rescue for a while now, no fault of his own, the right family just has not come yet! You are missing out if you're not taking a closer look at Mike, he is truly a fabulous dog! Again NOTE: Mike needs a family with older kids, a playful dog and a fenced yard!
