Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

We would like for you guys to meet Artemis, or as he is more lovingly known to his foster family, Moose!! Artemis is a handsome 2.5 year old pie boy that wants nothing more in this world than to be with his people. Having spent a majority of his life on a chain, he deals with separation anxiety and insecurity issues and would do best in a home where his humans were around more than not. He will do whatever he has to, to be by your side if separated from you, including jumping a fence if need be! To better explain, he has never left the fenced in yard of his fosters but regularly jumps from the potty yard to the front yard, then jumps the gate on the porch, and opens the storm door to come back in to his people. This boy is super smart!
Probably due to his past and insecurity issues, one of his favorite things to do is suck on and have his blankets, reminding his foster dad of Linus from Peanuts! He is not overly fond of kids being in his face so he would do best in a home with older children. Artemis is an active boy but would be perfectly content snuggling up to you with his head in your lap and having his ears massaged.
His foster family calls him Moose a lot of times because he has a tendency to be very vocal and push his way in to your space when he wants/needs attention. We are still working on bettering his manners, so he needs someone that is patient and willing to continue working on that with him but he is completely house trained, crate trained, and knows his basic commands. He is very smart, eager to please and highly food motivated. He LOVES car rides! Bath time is still a little bit of a challenge but he doesn’t mind having his nails clipped and he loves having his ears cleaned. He does well with dogs both big and small but would do best with dogs that aren’t overly dominant. All around he is just a sweet, goofy boy that just wants to be loved and he’ll love you back with his whole heart and soul!!
