Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sasha is a 1 year 4 month old black shepherd/lab mix. She was brought to the shelter in September of last year by a family that was moving and no longer had room for her. They said she had 6 weeks of training when she was a puppy but they never reinforced it as she got older.
Sasha is food motivated; she knows sit, down, fetch and roll over but has a short attention span. She will pull with a normal collar and leash but does great with a head collar. She does have a problem with jumping sometimes but listens when she is corrected. Sasha is an amazingly sweet dog that just wants attention and to be around a human. She needs someone that can understand her and has the patience to work with her.
Sasha gets along with other dogs, male and female. She can play rough sometimes and expects them to also. She does show barrier frustration, barking and howling at people and other dogs when she's stuck behind a fence or her run. This may only be a problem at the shelter.
Sasha was adopted out in January of 2019 for a week. The woman that adopted her said she did great. Fully housetrained, listened to her, stayed in her yard. She is extremely attentive to noises and moving objects. She said she has a ton of energy but calms down at night and sleeps through the night without issue. The woman had to return Sasha because her dog that was twice Sasha's size didn't like her. Sasha wanted to play with him and was very insistent upon it. He wasn't used to that and didn't accept her.
