Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Look out for lovable Lucy, who wants her new home to know these 10 things about her:
1. I am a super senior! Even though I’m almost 9, I get around just fine and still love to play!
2. A few years ago, I was abandoned by my family in Louisiana when they moved and just left me in the backyard. I felt pretty sad, but then I came to the Bullpen and got adopted. However, my new owner fell on hard financial times and she had to give me back to rescue, so here I am. I don’t let it get me down though, and I’m still hopeful that the third time will be the charm!
3. I lived in a home with a male English Mastiff, and I liked it a lot. My perfect home would have a large, laid-back boy dog that I could hang out with.
4. I was in a foster home once with smaller dogs, and I learned to get along with them after a slow and proper introduction.
5. I am interested in cats, but I think I could learn to live in a home with them without issue.
6. I wouldn’t mind living in a home with kids, as long as they had previous training on how to interact with dogs, and they weren’t too loud or rambunctious.
7. I enjoy sunbathing in the yard, going for walks, and snuggling with my family.
8. My foster mom describes me as happy, affectionate, playful, and loving.
9. I am great on a leash, housebroken, and crate-trained and I know how to use a dog door!
10. I am current on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative and spayed.
Ready to give Lucy the forever home of her dreams? Fill out our Adoption Application, located at www.bullpenrescue.org under the 'work with us' tab.
**We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation.
Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a "perfect placement" so we know that they will not be failed again.**
