Here's what the humans have to say about me:
SARAH is a large 2 ½ yr old Great Pyrenees, who just loves life. She is a playful, very happy girl, who will trot around the yard smiling, with her head and tail held high. Sarah loves pets, snuggles, and affection. She’s come to us a bit attention starved, as she was previously used as a livestock guardian but just wanted to play with the livestock. She can become a little jealous if another dog is getting attention, so we are looking for a savvy family that can help her learn to share her people. To ensure the best chance for success, a pet meet will be required. Due to her size and exuberance, she’s probably best with older children. Come meet Sarah and allow her to charm you with that smile.
Note: Great Pyrenees are considered a Giant Breed. Average weight can be 100lbs. or more. They bark, shed and have a wanderlust, so secure fences are a must have. They are NOT off leash dogs and a Pyr off leash is called a "dis'a'Pyr". Some Pyrs do well with other dogs and some don't because by the virtue of their breed traits they were bred to keep out intruders and can consider some dogs as intruders. While they make wonderful pets and family dogs, they aren't for everyone so be sure to understand and learn about the breed traits of this breed or any breed you might be considering.
