Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet River! She is a wonderful 5-month old, 25 lb. Lab/Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever blend (DNA tested). She was named because of the interesting white curvy line on her chest that appears to be a ‘river’ winding from her neck down through her chest. She has a short dense, thick coat that will require regular grooming. As one might imagine, with this combination of breeds comes a personality that can be described as intelligent, energetic (River is medium energy), eager to learn, strong and determined, confident, stubborn but also kind, friendly, and loving.
River has already mastered the art of fetching the ball. She is house-trained, sleeps through the night, and enjoys rides in the car. She knows how to use a dog door and loves to go outside. She loves to gather all the toys and put them in her dog bed. River is a very smart girl who will need a human who will show her right from wrong, good manners and lots of love. River knows several basic commands including sit, wait, down, here, and watch me.
She gets along with most dogs and would love to be in a home with another canine companion her size. She would not be suitable in a home with cats.
River is looking for home with an experienced owner who will continue her training and provide consistency and structure to ensure her success into adulthood. An ideal home would be with an active couple or on a place in the country. She will be a good-size girl when she is full-grown so she is not suitable for an apartment or a home without a yard. Video is on our website.
River is spayed, micro-chipped, and up to date on all shots. For more information go to www.3rrescue.org or phone 707-529-4643 or email: adopt@3rrescue.org.
