Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ernest Hemingway (or Ernie as he's affectionately called) is a five-year-old neutered male Retriever/Shepherd mix who is a big love bug who needs a patient, consistent family.

Ernie is potty trained, knows how to sit for treats, is non-destructive and loyal to his people. He gets along with big and small dogs and loves his walks.

Ernie has had it rough in life, so he needs a family who will be calm and loving with him while he gets into the routine (he LOVES a stable routine). Given time, Ernie will come out of his shell and begin to show his true-love big side.
