Here's what the humans have to say about me:
JESSIE is a year old Great Pyrenees / Australian Shepard mix with absolutely beautiful markings. She is the sweetest girl, and just loves affection. She’ll stare longingly at you, just drawing you in for pets, and then will cuddle up next to you for as long as you’ll have her. She easy going, protective and loves a fun game of fetch. She also enjoys a good chase with cats, probably the herding dog her, so a cat free home is in her future. In her short life she’s been moved around more than her fair share so we are looking for a family committed to giving her a loving, forever home.
Note: Great Pyrenees are considered a Giant Breed. Average weight can be 100lbs. or more. They bark, shed and have a wanderlust, so secure fences are a must have. They are NOT off leash dogs and a Pyr off leash is called a "dis'a'Pyr". Some Pyrs do well with other dogs and some don't because by the virtue of their breed traits they were bred to keep out intruders and can consider some dogs as intruders. While they make wonderful pets and family dogs, they aren't for everyone so be sure to understand and learn about the breed traits of this breed or any breed you might be considering.
