My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey everyone, Mickey here...I’m ready for my forever home. I was in the Lodi shelter for a little while and I didn’t really like it there. My foster mom pulled me and I didn’t trust her at first either or any new people that I met. You see, I have livestock guardian breeds in me; i got DNA tested! Being a a GSD (50%), Pyrenees (25%) and Marema sheep dog (25%), I’m very loyal to my family and people and it’s my job to protect my space and humans. I don’t want or need a large pack of dogs or humans in my life. I don’t need to go to the dog park or attend social functions; I do like to run and explore, so property would be nice!!! Once I know that I can trust you, I love my people and pack hard! I love to give hugs at inappropriate times and am very playful. I’d love a home with lots of property to run around on and explore.

I had to go to school while I was here, so I’m very smart and know lots of things. I can sleep in a crate, recall, hold a down for a long time, sit, and so much more. I’m basically a fully trained dog, so you should consider bringing me home to live with you. I also am house trained and don't mark in the house.
