Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is a courtesy listing only for Champ. This Doxie is NOT at Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. For information, please contact his current caretaker, BETTY at: (253) 441-1704. OR E-mail at: lilithclaven@gmail.com
Meet Champ -
Champ is a 16 year old short hair, 12 lb. black & tan doxie. This sweet senior is mostly blind and may be partially deaf. Do to his owner's declining health Champ needs to find a new home ASAP! He is neutered and up to date on vaccines, dental, and vet care. He may have some allergies to fleas & other bug bites. He travels well in the car, is leash trained, knows basic commands, and is friendly with other dogs, kids, and cats. Champ loves hanging out in the house while getting his belly & ears rubbed. He likes to burrow under warm blankets in his bed, and sit on your lap as often as possible. He was the therapy dog for his current owner who's wheelchair bound, and would sit on her lap all day everywhere she went. His owner is now bedridden and no longer able to care for Champ. She hopes that sweetheart Champ can find a new loving forever home ASAP! (Please contact Champ's current owner for more info)
***(Decision is completely up to new owner-His current owner is even willing to pay for Champ's food & vet care for the rest of his life in exchange for Champ's ashes when he passes away, and to be able to speak with his new owner and receive occasional photos/info.)
Unfortunately, ODR, Inc. is over-full and cannot take this little Doxie in. If you or anyone you know can help, please share this email or contact their current caretaker, BETTY at: (253) 441-1704. OR E-mail at: lilithclaven@gmail.com

ODR, INC. ADOPTION CRITERIA (aka Our Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria for dogs that we adopt and that we recommend to owners whose doxies we list courtesy posts for, the sole aim of which is to facilitate a successful adoption with a forever family.
*Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time?
*Have a securely fenced yard?
*We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and *Children need to be 12 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie).
*We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc). *Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog.
Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these or similar issues.
Thank you!
