Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Nicky!!
If you are looking for an amazingly calm and happy dog Nicky the Poodle is your boy! At one year old he is as nice and as stable as they come and really desires a human to call his own! He was bought from a breeder at 8 weeks old by a young woman who took good care of him. She gave him up due to the fact she is going to school to become a teacher and her requirements for school, internship and job do not allow her hardly any time with Nicky and felt he would do way better in a home where he got all the attention.
As a purebred miniature poodle he weighs in at about 17 pounds and is hypoallergenic and non-shedding.
In rescue he is with large dogs and small dogs and gets along fine with everyone. He is also completely non-plussed by cats and seems to enjoy the affection they give to him. He walks great on a leash and really enjoys one on one time with his person. For this reason we are fine placing him as an only dog although he would be just fine with another dog as well.
His adoption fee includes his neuter (provided by the rescue), current vaccinations including rabies, microchip, deworming, housebreaking, collar and leash. An adoption fee does apply.
As we pre-screen via email ONLY please tell us a bit about you such as your lifestyle, work schedule, activity level, area you live in, house or apartment, how many adults, children and pets in the home, where your pet stays when you are out or at work and where your pet will sleep.
Please do note that Poodles do require grooming about every 6 weeks to keep them from getting matted.
Please also note that we are not affiliated with any other rescue group and that no phone calls are accepted in the initial screening process.
We appreciate you taking the time to write to us and do try to get back to everyone. Unfortunately we are not always able to with the volume of inquiries we often get. We truly appreciate your patience.
Thank you for choosing to adopt.
