My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Gus! I was found at a local shelter, emaciated and scared until some nice folks brought me into their rescue. Now, I'm living with my foster mom and a fur foster brother and soon, I will be ready for my forever home. I really like it here, but my foster mom wants to help other dogs like me, so she says I need to find my own people. I'm about 50 lbs now, but ideally should be in the 60 lbs range. Most people want to lose weight, but I need to GAIN. It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it. :) I'm the total package: crate trained, house trained, dog and people friendly! I haven't met any kids yet, but I love people, so I don't think that's going to be a problem. And I did meet this furry thing that they call a cat, but foster auntie who I was visiting at the time told me to sit and so I did. I listen very well and can be redirected when I get excited. We rarely adopt out of state and will consider NY, NJ, MA, RI only for our harder to place pups (those who have been in rescue for a while with zero or no interest).
