Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pia is a three-year old Siamese mix who was abandoned along with her feral mom, a sibling and another senior cat when after her owner passed away and the husband moved away on August 11, 2018.
The new residents of the home had dogs and did not want the cats on the property, so nearby caretaker had to move their feeding station across the street. Her feral mom disappeared shortly thereafter. Next the senior male disappeared, and finally her sibling, Darla, was nowhere to be found. Then one day Darla returned emaciated and weak, too sick to eat. Sadly, she couldn't be saved and the cats' caretaker had to take Darla to be humanely euthanized. With her sibling gone, Pia was now all alone. Occasionally, Pia would start to follow her caregiver home, but turn back and return to her familiar surroundings.
With another winter storm brewing, her caretaker was desperate to find a foster home. Finally, a message came; a foster would be available soon. Just days before she was to go to the new foster home, Pia decided to follow her caretaker all the way home. She picked Pia up and carried her inside. Pia spent a few nights in her caregiver's bathroom until she could go to the vet for check up and then to foster care.
Although it takes her awhile to adjust, eventually, she will warm up to a new caregiver and loves to be petted. Pia has a sweet disposition once she gets to know you. Do you have the patience and willingness to give Pia a chance at the good life? Will you consider giving her a "forever home"?
