My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This adorable little poodle/terrier mix is approx 8 yrs old and 6 lbs. We had to shave him down when we took him in as he was so matted. He is a sweet little boy. He loves to sit on your lap and loves treats. He would like a quiet home with someone to give him lots of attention. He did test positive for heart worms and has been treated with the required series of shots. We usually find that the dogs test negative within 4-6 months after the treatment, he has also been started on a monthly preventative of heart guard.

FROM HIS FOSTER MOM

There is a lot of energy in this 7-pound ball of fur! He likes to chase his toys, run around in circles when you come home, and go for walks. He is very good on his walks, easy on the leash with only a little tug or “come on” to keep him on track. He likes to make stops at the houses of people he knows just in case they might be home.

He is pretty social and will go to people he has seen me talk to and also likes the mailman. He particularly likes children up to about age 10 or so. There are 2 separate toddlers (1 ½ to 2 ½ years old) that we have met on our walks and they always cry out “Doggy, doggy) and he will walk up to them and stand still and let them pat him on his back. I showed them it was okay to pat the ‘puff’ at the end of this tail and they really liked that. He will stay there as long as Mommy or Grandma think is okay and then we move on.

He has a very cute personality. In addition to running in circles when you come home, he will run around the living room and kitchen in a big circle, preferably with me chasing him. I’m usually good for about 2 rounds and then he just goes on without me. When he wants to go out, he will turn his back to me and look over one shoulder and then the other, wagging and smiling, as if saying ‘come on, let’s go!‘ When he want to play he will go into his ‘linebacker stance’ like he’s challenging me to try to get one of his toys.

He likes to sit by your side to cuddle and in your lap, especially if you are on the computer. He will sit in my lap when I’m using my computer for an hour at least.

He is an easy eater. Kibble 2 or 3 times a day. He does expect a treat after walks and for cleaning his bowl. Or for any reason he can get one.

Good boy!
