Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Smiley, our 2-year old female "Borador" (Border Collie/Labrador mix).
She came from Coachella and was a shelter favorite. She is blind in one eye
because of an old injury. Regardless, she does not seem to suffer from it
at all. She does not show any signs that she cannot see out of it You can
hardly tell anything is wrong with it other than the pupil is larger and the
eye color is more of a dark navy-brown. Smiley also has a beautiful coat;
the fur on her head and front legs is almost cashmere-like.
We were contacted by the Coachella shelter to see if we would considering
taking her. Even though she was a staff favorite, she eventually became at
risk of euthanization simply because this shelter does not get a lot of foot
traffic. Smiley was named as such as she has a cute little trait that she
smiles at you when she greets you. She is definitely a little shy and
sometimes shows trepidation (we recently witnessed her approach a big silver
water dish several times cautiously). We don't see this in adult dogs much
(more of a puppy-kind-of-thing), but I would guess this will carry over to
other areas in her daily and future life - when she does it, it is quite
adorable. She might be a great candidate for trick training. Speaking of
training, Smiley would benefit from obedience classes as she really does
seem to want to please. She is a very sweet, gentle, kind dog. She loves
her foster brothers and sisters and is very patient with her former foster
sibling, Gingerbread, who constantly had her mouth around her neck during
group play time.
She has just the right amount of exuberance. We've only heard her bark a
few times (when a new person was walking by the play yard with two new dogs
that had just arrived). She has a really nice low "male" sounding bark.
Being two-years old, she does have a little tarter on her teeth and was very
good at letting me clean a few teeth for a short session with my dog dental
tool. Smiley seems to like all people - and while not really trained in
basic obedience, she has very nice manners. We feel that she has great
potential to be a prized family dog who would be in awe of her new-found
good luck. Whomever is lucky enough to add her to their family is going to
love her to the moon and back!
If you are interested in meeting our dogs, please fill out an adoption
application. We require a pre-approved application to be on file before any
meet and greets are scheduled. The electronic application can be found on
