Here's what the humans have to say about me:
SADIE (GEORGIA)
Sadie is an adorable 10-year-old, 10-pound Yorkie girl being fostered in Hiawassee, GA.
Sadie comes to UYR from very loving owners who had Sadie since she was a puppy. Once babies started arriving in her home, Sadie started having some challenges. She seemed to “forget” she was house-trained and showed signs of stress as the two infants in the home grew into toddlers. As in most young families, things got busy with two children which meant less and less time for Sadie and after several attempts to make everything work out, it became apparent that Sadie would do better in a home without children and so her owners lovingly reached out to UYR for help. We are happy to welcome this sweet, beautiful girl into UYR.
Sadie’s owners shared that she is a very sweet, shy and loving dog. Although she has only been in her foster home for one day, her foster mom agrees. Sadie is calm, quiet, and very “low key.” Sadie loves to sit very close to her person. She loves her humans and attaches to them very quickly. She spent her first night sleeping on foster Mom’s pillow. Sadie has a wish list for her PAWFECT home. First and most importantly Sadie must go to a home without children. Little people cause her lots of stress so we will not consider applications with children because Sadie’s next stop needs to be her last one. Sadie would love to be an only fur-kid so that she can feel secure and soak up all the love and attention she wants. She might also do okay with one other dog of comparable age, size and energy level but they would need to be a mellow, sweet, gentle soul like Sadie is so that she isn’t dominated. Sadie also needs a person who is mostly home with so that she is not left alone a lot. She needs a lot of love, praise and confidence building so that she can feel secure. She also she needs to be taken out frequently so she can rebuild the house-training behaviors that she used to know. She would love a fenced yard where she can romp and explore. Sadie has just landed in her foster home but she is up to date on her care so if you think you are her perfect fit go ahead and apply to adopt her today!
