My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charlotte has been adopted.

Charlotte is not your every day run of the mill beagle. She is what you call a Blue Tick Beagle. She is not hyper but she is not lazy either. She is a funny little girl as she will keep you laughing with her quirky little antics. She is just delightful to be around. She is potty trained to outside and also puppy pads. She is leashed and crate trained. She is however selective about other dogs she can get along with so we recommend her being in an only dog home. She is great with kids and people. Please give us a call to meet her so you can see what a special girl she is. Charlotte will be forever grateful for your interest.

More about this rescue

We are not a big place. We are an all volunteer no kill facility. We opened in May of 2011. We have had over 400 adoptions since opening. We opened the rescue because there were not enough places in our area to help all the dogs coming into the shelter. I can have up to 25 rescue dogs. That means there are 25 more getting out of the shelter than before we opened. There are two of us that work full time taking care of the 25 rescue dogs and my own personal pets.

If you are looking for a way to help the animals we would love to talk to you about joining us as a volunteer. We need morning, afternoon and weekend help.

We have at least one adoption event a month. We would love to have more but to do that we need more help.

Some of the things on our wish list are: Dog food. Dry adult and puppy, canned adult and puppy, treats, collars, leashes, sweaters, etc. We also need bleach, laundry detergent, fabric softener, Pine Sol, Odo-Ban (disinfectant) can get by the gallon at Sams Club. Paper towels, toilet tissue, baby wipes, etc. We can always use monetary donations for vetting, medicines, grooming, gas for transports, etc.
