Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mena is a 1-year-old spayed female black lab. Mena weighs 45 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.
Mena is a sweet adorable little girl full of smiles and love. From the time she was picked up from the Vet she has not stopped smiling. She rode great in the car and does ok on leash. She pulls a little and would benefit from an EZ walk harness.. She listens well and knows some of her basic commands- come, sit and stay. She isn’t jumpy- especially for a pup this young.
She’s still on her rest time after her spay but has enjoyed stretching her legs and carrying around the tennis ball. She’s not a huge fan of the crate but with some work, she will catch on. It’s rough being so young and having to spend a lot of time (post-spay) in a crate. Sort of boring for her - but a frozen peanut butter Kong and some toys seem to be helping her pass the time.
She would probably prefer a single family home with a fence yard but if she gets lots of exercise, she may be okay without a fence.
This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP.
