Poor Pearl.  She came into the shelter a frightened, emaciated, abused puppy.  Look at her now!  She's absolutely gorgeous.  Totally housebroken, crate trained (rings a bell to let you know it is time to go outside).  Wonderful with other animals.  Very cautious around new people, but warms up to adults quickly.  Afraid of children (we found out it was the child in her original family who was the abuser).  She's energetic and playful, so a fenced yard is preferred.  Fostered in Rocky Mount, NC
