My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What can we say about Wagner? He will need a loving and patient family
to help him overcome being timid. We don't know what his history was
prior to arriving in rescue, but we know he was surrendered to a Georgia
shelter a few times. We are unsure if he was abused or simply tossed in a back yard as he is very fearful.

He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. He likes to
snuggle on the couch and sleep on the bed. He will not jump on the
couch or bed by himself, but once he is picked up he begins to relax and
enjoys being with his human.

He is working on house training, but does not have it mastered. He will
use a pad. He does not bark in his crate, but will wet his towels if
left alone too long. He is startled by sudden movements and loud
noises, so young children would not be the best fit for him.

Wagner is a flight risk and will need a fenced yard with locked gates
that cannot accidentally be left open.

He is a sweet boy that wants to be close to his person, but is afraid.
He is looking for that special person that will give him a chance.

This boy needs a Great Animal Loving Home that gets what a true Rescue is...he will not walk into your house and be the perfect adjusted pet. He will need time and patience. We can not stress that enough. Dogs like Wagner do not "Snap" our of it. They need a home that is willing to work with him to build his confidence and allow him to adjust at his rate.

We have had great success in placing dogs like Wagner and are confident he too will find that perfect home for him.
