My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little poodle/bichon mix is approx 5 yrs old and 15 lbs. His owner became too ill to take care of him and surrendered him to the local shelter. He loves to sit on your lap, he is very shy and would probably do better as an only dog. He really doesn't want to interact with the other rescues. He does seem a little stressed and will occasionally run in circles, and as he gets comfortable this should settle down. He seems to be house and leash trained. He was horribly matted and did not like his trip to the groomers, so we had to take him to the vet and have them clip off all of his mats and trim his nails. He had been very neglected, and will need some love and TLC.

OUR RESCUE POLICY: We require a home with children older than 10 years old and experienced dog owners only.

The total adoption fee of between $525 and $650 depending on the quarantine laws of the adopter or foster's state (primarily Massachusetts) and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care.
