My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Princely paws have arrived at AWLMC. Hi, I’m Danny, a handsome 6-year-old domestic long hair. I’ve been told that “I can stop a conversation by simply walking in the room” due to my regal black fur coat. My original owner passed away and I lived with a neighbor for a short period of time, but unfortunately, they could not keep me. I’m a fairly quiet guy but love the company of others and will seek out your attention. In fact, I prefer to have someone with me while I eat. Sometimes I do eat too fast though and I get the hiccups!

One of my favorite things to do is “make biscuits” by kneading things with my paws. I will seek out your leg for this activity at bedtime, so best to have a stuffed animal or blanket handy if you don’t want too much loving. I will sit in your lap and nuzzle hands with my soft black head. Petting and scratching are a must, but I will tell you when I’ve had enough and am ready to jump down and have some alone time.

Since my hair is so long, it will take some brushing to keep me looking royal, but I am patient and content to let you perform this task for me. My beautiful tail is constantly in motion, and only stops moving when I’m tired and ready to sleep. Once this happens, simply call my name (yes, I know it!) and I’ll jump up on the bed for a good night’s rest. I’m in search of my happily ever after, will you be the one?
