My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jazmin is a 1 year old mini-Aussie, ready for her forever home. Jazzy was found in a bean field, lost, confused, and injured, with sores on her feet from wandering. She’s healthy now, and understandably, a little scared of the world.

She loves a lot of things… people, cuddling, other dogs, cats, and tennis balls. She loves to bark and growl when playing and LOVES to run. She enjoys playing chase with her foster sister and playing with squeaky plush toys. She’s pretty good at playing fetch, and foster mom says she’ll bring back her favorite squeaker fish 75% of the time. She thrives playing outside with her foster sister and loves playing with other dogs, big and small, at the dog park. Jazzy can be vocal when she wants attention, but is working on those manners. She has a lot of energy and needs a securely fenced yard where she can run and be safe.

Jazzy loves going out out in the community, especially pet supply stores and pet friendly businesses. When relaxing inside, she is quite the cuddle bug and loves to snuggle and be held. She knows her basic commands, sit, lay down, touch, and come, and is working on stay, leave it, kennel, and drop it.

Jazzy needs a patient family who is willing to allow her time to gain her confidence. Her family will be rewarded with a loyal, loving companion. She bonds quickly with her people, and this bond will only be strengthened as she gains trust and confidence. Jazzy would love to have another dog in the home but would also do ok as an only dog as long as she gets lots of exercise and attention.

She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on all her vaccinations. She is housetrained but not crate-trained, but hasn’t been destructive when alone in the house. She is being fostered in the Kansas City, Missouri area.
