Here's what the humans have to say about me:
”These two are Harper and Jango, bonded siblings! They are Blue Tick Coonhound Australian Shepherd mixes. Jango is a blue merle boy while Harper is a black tri female. They are both five and oh so lazy! They love to snooze on the couch all day. They both enjoy daily walks and a bit of fetch in the backyard but if you go a day or two without any activity, they’re perfectly content to chew on toys and sleep! For being outside their whole lives they've picked up being house broken very easily and have turned out to be very velcro! They know how to use the doggy door and are house trained. They are UTD on all shots and are microchipped. They both know “sit” and “paw”, Harper is catching onto “down” while Jango can achieve a short sit stay! They are slowly learning how to actually play with other dogs; they interact with every other dog nicely, they just never learned to play but are working up the courage to join in! They pay my cat no mind at all, and I don't see them having any issues with smaller dogs either.
They are currently slowly working on being kennel trained so that is something that will continue to be worked on in their new homes. Harper is a little timid and tends to submissive pees sometimes but we are also slowly working on that. They both are still getting used to car rides but once in the car Harper does really well. Jango gets car sick but with more reoccurring car rides I can see him overcoming this! Jango is nervous when storms roll around but nothing too severe, he just whines and shakes some.
They both handle getting brushed and their nails trimmed amazingly well and everyone at the vets love them. They both are desensitizing to inside very well but some day to day sounds still startle them.
Since they’ve only known each other for their 5 years, having them be adopted together would be amazing. With the lack of energy they have, it’s basically like only taking on one dog, ha! They would be a perfect fit for any home, first time dog owners, retirees looking for a companion, etc! Just maybe not a super active home, I just don’t think they have it in them! 😉”
