My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Princess! This sweet, goofy girl is a lot of fun. She enjoys going for long walks on the leash, running with you in the yard, licking your face under the moonlight, cuddling under a blanket beside the fire...

Princess is a young boxer/pitbull mix with beautiful golden eyes. She loves people of all shapes and sizes. She enjoys being around other dogs and would do well in a home with another dog that she can bond with. She probably wouldn't do so great around cats. Princess is quickly learning basic commands and obedience, and she is doing great. She does have the energy of a young dog, so she will need a family that can provide her with a healthy outlet. If you are ready to fall in love, come meet this amazing girl today!

We cannot confirm that dogs who come from the shelter will be house trained.

Most adoptable dogs will need some reintroduction into a home, potty training, basic manners and social skills.

Please be prepared to provide the training and dedication that will be needed.

We do not have any way of knowing if a dog or cat will do well with all children or all other animals.

*** This is why it is important that we introduce everyone in the home to the new pet. Please plan to have the whole family come visit.

*** We also require that any family dogs come into meet your potential adoptee. Please be sure your dogs are spayed or neutered and current on vaccines (distemper - parvo and rabies) before bringing them to the shelter.

*** All dogs must be transported home in a travel crate to transport your new pup home safely.

*** Renters must provide a copy of a lease indicating pets are allowed or contact information for the landlord.

If you are interested in meeting or adopting one of our pets or have questions about the process please see our website at www.adoptmountainpets.org or call the Shelter between 11:00 am and 5:45 pm Tuesday through Saturday. 970 626 2273
