Meet Rhonda and Rufus. They were found living outdoors in a feral cat colony and are best friends. They are currently living with a foster family to work on their social skills as they both grew up being afraid of people. They are looking for a quiet home or apartment where they can be indoor cats. They are quite independent and enjoy watching the birds and taking naps together. A potential adopter should be prepared for an extended adjustment period as Rhonda and Rufus need time to adjust to change. While they have been making progress, an adopter should not expect Rhonda and Rufus to be lap cats or to be extremely affectionate. They are a bonded pair and must go home together, although they would not mind if there are other cats in the home. Rhonda and Rufus would prefer a home without dogs and kids under 10 years old as loud noise and fast movement spooks them.
If you are interested in finding out more about Rhonda and Rufus please know that they are currently in a FOSTER HOME and not at the Tri-Lakes Humane Society. Their foster family is trying to help them come out of their shells and become more comfortable around people.
