Tugger is an eight year old pure bred German Shepherd who has lots of spunk; he loves playing fetch and, as his name suggests, tug! He's a big strong guy who likes to talk, and he's super smart, already mastering cues like sit, shake, down, and more. Tugger is friendly and polite with other dogs on leash, but he hasn't had a chance to romp around with them yet. That's because he's currently undergoing treatment for heartworm and needs to stick to calm activity for a little while. For that reason, he is available for foster to adopt; you bring him home while we cover his heartworm treatments free at our clinic, and once that's all cleared up you finalize the adoption! It's a win-win-win! Tugger's ideal home is one without children, and with people who are experienced with large dogs.
