Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Skeeter is currently located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down here, so he is willing to move north for a good loving forever home.
Skeeter is an adorable little boy that was saved from a fast kill animal control facility. We think he is a rat terrier mix with his striking blue eyes coming from some husky in his lineage. Skeeter is young, still under a year of age, and weighs around 12 pounds. Skeeter has only been with us for a week, but he is very sweet, snuggly and loving despite being a bit shy. Skeeter loves treats and playing with other dogs. But he is scared of big rowdy dogs and prefers dogs around his own size. Skeeter is being crate trained and needs work with house training. He is fairly well-behaved in the house, but he is still young and will need more obedience training and socialization. Skeeter is small and delicate. He must be protected from rough treatment by children or big dogs that can hurt him. He must also be protected from outdoor predators and large raptors that would consider him dinner. Skeeter must be in the house as a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash would like a secure fenced yard to run and play.
Skeeter is healthy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, negative for heartworms and has been started on heartworm and flea preventative. Skeeter has a $500.00 adoption fee which includes ground transport via Rescue Road Trips for pickup in Zanesville Ohio.
