Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Kirby, the sweetest chocolate lab ever! Kirby has been with us for the past year or so after extended family had to give him up due to moving into a rental that does not accept pets. Their loss though is a wonderful family’s gain! He loves everyone he meets wherever he goes. He’s very easy-going and mellow and loves to play ball!
History: He is 3 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and great with EVERYONE he meets. Cats, other dogs, kids, reptiles, you name it. While in foster care, he has been exposed to horses as well and is a wonderful boy around them. He is a great dog and an easy traveler, relocating both to and from Utah with relative ease. He is an absolute lover, not a fighter. Purebred but without papers.
Challenges: He developed some insecurities in his prior home, where he was a backyard dog and competed for his food with other dogs in a free-feeding situation. This environment initially had caused him to latch onto our other dogs rather than us, and as of now, he finally feels more confident and securely looks to us (humans) as leaders. We only feed our dogs individually so that they do not compete for food, and he is also now perfect in that area!
Needs: As with any foster we have, we feel that he would do best in an environment where he is treated like family and not just thrown into the backyard. We will not put him in a home that resembles the one he came from – only one that can support him and all the progress he’s made. He should have his family’s full attention and get a ton of one-to-one love!
If you would like to meet Kirby or adopt him, please contact me. We will travel and would prefer to do so in order to support his transition….although this will be incredibly easy because he just loves everyone!
