Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Beautiful female hound from high kill shelter in Louisiana, Taylor is still in New Orleans with Looziana Basset Rescue but can be easily transported up to Lisbon, CT, using Rescue Road Trips, to an approved adopter. She is about 50 lbs, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. Taylor is super sweet and would be a great family dog for an active family. She would love to be a jogging partner. More pictures are coming soon but, if you are interested in this gem, please email me at: LoozianaBassetRescue@gmail.com. Her adoption fee is $300 and the fee to transport to Lisbon, CT is $185. We check vet references and do home visits prior to an adoption. We require that our dogs be on monthly year round heartworm prevention.
From Shannon, Taylor's foster Mom:
Taylor is not only beautiful, but she wins Miss Congeniality! Some of the words that come to mind when describing her are: exuberant, energetic, sweet, and silly. Taylor is a tall hound mix with long legs, floppy ears, big feet, and a giant personality. She gets along well with other dogs and with cats who are familiar with dogs. She loves to give kisses, play with toys, and socialize. Taylor is in a foster home, where she is learning good dog manners. She is crate-trained, house-trained, and responds well to positive training (with treats). Taylor would be happy as a running partner for a human friend or a canine companion. She may be too big for small children, but she would be a great addition to nearly any family.
I hope this hits the mark. She's a really good dog. No destructive behaviors, not an ounce of aggression, just lots of energy!
