My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Heidi is a 12'ish years old dachshund who is staying with us for some medical and spa treatments. Diane Young of Salem Dogs has signed Heidi up for the deluxe senior rejuvenation package. She will have dental, medical, shots, spay and exercise/diet, grooming (maybe a facial?), And relaxation. You know, Sandals for Dogs.

Heidi is a gentle soul. Sweet and very calm. So laid back. She goes outside to do her business and seems to be well versed in pack etiquette. She is a short hair red but has dappled in her background because she has one dappled eye that is light colored. She and my girls and our other foster Snoopy Dog did their version of a meet and greet and sniff yesterday then I guess that exhausted everybody because six of our eight pack wound up snoozing in my oversized recliner and Heidi, having fallen in love with my teddy bear of a hubby, stretched out beside him and happily burrowed under the covers for a good nap. Heidi seems to like Snoopy and fell asleep using his butt as her pillow. They will learn walk manners this week.

Why anyone would abandon such a regal girl is beyond me but to paraphrase Mark Twain, the more I know about people the better I like dogs! Very wise man.
