Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet little Hermie and his brother were abandoned in a park at the tender age of just 4 months! Hermie's brother got adopted by a friend of the finder's, and Hermie came into rescue so we could find him his forever home. Hermie is believed to be a lab/rottie mix, but we make NO guarantees on breed mix! Hermie has the very laid back, chill personality of a Rottweiler, but is also a curious and confident and playful puppy.
Hermie is currently 35 lbs. and growing. We can't guarantee he will be large, but we are stating the possibility is there! He may not get past 50 lbs, but at this age we just can't be certain. Hermie is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, up to date on all vaccines, and has been kept on HW prevention since he was found. Hermie's vets have given him a clean bill of health!
Hermie is currently living in a loving foster home with young children and another dog, and he is wonderful with them all! He is a sweet puppy that is going to be a great dog!! He plays extremely well with his foster sibling (female dog), roughousing and playing tug of war. He is gentle with the kids and loves a good snuggle. He learns very quickly! He knows sit and we are working on lie down and stay. He knows his name and (usually) comes when we call him. He loves to be around his people! If it is nap time he is curled at our feet or on his bed nearby. He loves to be outside though, and will sit outside forever all by himself just watching the world go by. Hermie is also learning how to walk nicely on a leash and for the most part does really well. Hermie is a good watch dog, barking when people or other dogs come near the house or backyard but he does not bark excessively. So far he has been friendly towards other people and dogs that he has had a chance to meet (even if he was barking at them before hand). He has been disinterested in the family's guinea pigs and was not interested in his previous foster's cats either. As far as puppies go, he is really well-behaved and much calmer than you would expect a 6 month old puppy to be, but still super playful and curious.
Hermie is available for adoption to a family where someone is home most of the time. Interested adopters please email MJsAnimalSanctuary@gmail.com to request an adoption application. Adopters subject to reference checks, vet reference, home visit(s) and meet n greet(s). Adoption fee applies.
