My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Spud is a Chi-weenie, between 7 and 8 years old. He weighs 8 lbs. Spud was adopted by a disabled man and his wife. The man passed away along with another pet in the home and the wife had to return to work. Spud is lost without companionship. Spud needs a home where someone is home during the day and can give him the attention that he needs.

He loves to go outside but must be kept on a leash or in a fence because he will chase squirrels, rabbits, deer, etc. He gets along easy with all humans, including kids. Spud is an exceptionally loyal dog. He can be destructive due to anxiety when left alone, (due to his past before he came to CRT) so crating and being patient is the best direction until this behavior can be turned around with the right alpha human(s).

Spud is healthy and energetic. He is house trained. He is neutered, UTD on shots and on HW preventative.

An application must be submitted and approved before a meet-n-greet can be scheduled.

Your current dogs/cats must be spayed or neutered unless a veterinarian has determined that your current pet(s) should not be fixed due to medical reasons.

They must also be up-to-date on shots and on HW preventative.

Reference checks and a home visit are required so SE dogs can only be adopted in NC/SC, VA MD and GA.
