Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We do not adopt dogs from just phone calls or emails. Please do not fill in adoption forms anywhere else, but on OUR website. Thanks for that.
To start our adoption process, please fill out our form on our website at: www.spokanewienerdogs.org and see the Adopt a Dog/Fee page with more details on how we adopt our dogs. There are a lot of questions answered on our web site and personality details below about each dog BELOW so please READ BEFORE getting in touch. We already answer 500+ emails a day. We do answer questions on dogs once our adoption paperwork is filled in so we can match to the right homes.
Please indicate which dog you are interested in on our adoption form. If their name says "no longer available" then they are not available and are on a test drive with a new family. We do remove our dogs when our adoptions are final so please do not ask us if dogs are available if you see their ads.
There is an adoption fee of $200 for this dog.
Baxter was not doing well with young children in his home so he came to us for socializing and finding him a home without kids. We can do that.
He is a running, active dog so he does need a fenced yard and preferably a play buddy to zoom. He is quiet inside but being part terrier they always need a ton of exercise to stay mannerly.
He was born on 4/14/14 and is a good boy! I am still working with him as he just arrived but finding he is scared of big dogs. Baxter is getting along with the other small dogs just fine. He is shy meeting folks but settling in very quickly with us.
He loves toys! Baxter has mellowed into quite a playful boy who loves people. He is past his shy stage and now is a lap muffin. The volunteer dog huggers love him and so do we. I have always loved this cross.
No cats please. We are looking for another dog for him to play with in his new home please. He loves to zoom and have a grand old time outside and is well mannered and mostly housebroke inside so working on that. If we let him outside enough he is perfect there or crate when gone.
If you have time for a playful, cuddly boy then this may be your new, highly intelligent boy!
