My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Barkley and I am looking for my forever home! I am a super adorable Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix and I am almost a year old. I am a very sweet boy, just a little timid until I get to know you. I am a happy and playful boy who LOVES attention. At my foster home, I have 2 adult humans, 2 teenagers, 4 Aussie friends, and 4 cats! They are teaching me lots of new things like how to sit and shake. They also keep telling me that it is not okay to chew on shoes. I play well with the cats, even though I do like to herd them.

I love the humans, but my absolute favorite thing is running outside with the other Aussies. I must confess, sometimes they get upset with me because I like to take their toys away. I am also a protector of the house – if something sounds out of place or if I hear someone at the door, I bark to let my foster family know someone is around. I am looking for a forever home where I will get a lot of love and attention. Since I’m young, I will need continued basic training. My future family will be patient with me and continue to provide me with socialization.

I am house trained and crate trained. I love to run and play so a fenced in backyard would really make my day! I am neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on all of my vaccinations.
