Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Clyde is a little 1 year old chi mix who weighs in at only around 5 pounds! He's puny!! He was one of 50 dogs and 4 cats that were found living in an RV in the Central Valley. When they were found, the temperature in the RV was 111 degrees. The animals were taken to a county shelter where they were assessed and received any medical treatment needed.
Because of his history, Cutie Pie Clyde came to us very under socialized. We were told that he lived most of his life in a cage and used for breeding (yes! someone actually thought it was a good idea to breed even MORE Chihuahuas in this world). Although Clyde has come a long way, he still has a way to go in getting used to this very big world we live in, and that will take time. He is somewhat curious about the outdoors but really is more like an indoor cat at this point.
Clyde may not have a Bonnie but he does have a BFF named Baron who is also up for adoption! His buddy in his foster home and they play together all the time.
Clyde has hinted that his ideal home is a relatively quiet one where someone will help him come out of his shell. Ideally, Baron could be adopted with him but it is not a requirement. As you can see by the photos, he's happy living with his foster mama and does bond nicely with his human and other dogs. He will need someone who has the time and patience to let him discover the world at his own pace. There is a lot of world out there to discover and he will share those new experiences with you. In the meantime, he is having a ball play with Baron and enjoying his new found freedom..
If you would like to help Clyde find his way in the world, you will be richly rewarded with lots of kisses and love. And you will have the privilege of watching his personality come out as he comes to feel safe in his new home.
Clyde is neutered, up to date with vaccinations, and is microchipped for easy identification. If you would like to meet him at a place and location convenient for you, fill out the adoption form and we can make it happen.
Take the time to meet him and you will see just how hard he is to resist! And if you would like to have twice the love and fun, consider adopting Baron as well!
Clyde came to us very under socialized. It’s likely that he has lived most of his life in a cage so even having access to a living room is terrifying to him. That’s a lot of world to face and figure out! Although Clyde has come a long way, he still has a way to go in getting used to this very big world we live in, and that will take time. Clyde is curious about the outdoors but still too scared to venture out into it yet. He has however, found a dog buddy in his foster home and they play together all the time. His buddy is also a foster dog named Baron and he is posted on this site as well.

Clyde is a special dog who will richly reward you if you take him into your heart and home. Take the time to
meet him and you will see just how hard he is to resist!
