Major: "ADOPTION PENDING" ~6 year old, black & tan, neutered male, natural ears, docked tail, 15” tall, 16 lbs. Fully vetted & micro-chipped. Rescued from a hoarding situation.
According to records Major is 6 years and 10 months old. His tail is docked, ears natural and floppy like a miniature Rottweiler. He has long and elegant legs that are springy and quick. Major is very friendly and seems to like everyone. He is housebroken and uses a doggy door. He is learning to walk on a leash and does fine once he gets past the initial excitement of getting his walking harness and leash put on. Major starts out bedtime sleeping in a doggy bed at the foot of the bed, but manages to sneak into bed with his foster parents during the night.
Major was one of 8 Min Pins rescued by IMPS from a terrible hoarder situation in Southern CA. He was living crated in a dark and dirty shed along with numerous other dogs and cats. When Major was brought into foster it was apparent that he just longed for someone to be nice to him. He certainly returns that as he has great temperament. Two of the foster brothers he lives with have alpha tendencies, but Major shows no interest in challenge and ignores or deflects their alpha aggression very well. He is a very sweet boy who loves to cuddle as much as he loves his new life out of the dark crate. When he gets very excited he jumps up and bucks like a bronco.
Major would do well as an only dog, or with a companion dog or two. Be prepared to cuddle.
