My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing BEAST also called Halo! This is Beast's second trip to the shelter.
He was saved about a year ago by a rescue. The rescue didn't get him adopted in the last year so left him back at the shelter on Feb. 19th of 2020. He was originally at the shelter on December 28th of 2018. So you can see this boy has been waiting a long time for his home! Beast is now 5 years old and weighs 67 pounds. He is strong but a very handsome boy. He has been kept in a small cage for over a year now so of course he wants to get out and explore the world! Won't someone please give Beast the chance to be a beloved family dog with plenty of exercise, love, and care? Beast is up to date with vaccinations, neutered, and micro-chipped. He will be heartworm tested upon adoption. Beast is in Run 855 and his ID is 621094.

Below is his original entry from when he was first at the shelter on 12/28/18:
Beast and his friend Diesel (Rescued) arrived at the shelter together on 12/28/18 and are now available for adoption together or separately! Beast and Diesel are both about 4 years old and weigh about 65 pounds each. Diesel is the brindle boy and Beast is the tan boy. They are both very sweet, friendly, and happy dogs. They will sit on command, although they are a little bit distracted by their new shelter surroundings. These boys are microchipped but their previous owner decided not to come and get them when they were contacted. These boys have sadly lived outside most of their lives and would love to see what life inside is like! They are also up to date on their shots and neutered. They will be heartworm tested upon adoption. Beast and Diesel are waiting to meet you in cage 858. Beast's ID# is 611528 and Diesel?’s ID# is 611529.

Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

This pet and many others are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter.1060 Al Bishop Drive Marietta, Georgia 30008, (770) 499-4136 for more information. Shelter hours are: Tues. - Sat. 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. & Sundays 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., CLOSED Mondays & Holidays.
