Meet MAGGIE! She is very sweet and devoted to those she loves. She’s also extremely well behaved in the home, completely house and crate trained. Even though MAGGIE is really just a baby herself, approximately a year to 18 months, she isn't at all destructive.

She wants so much to really truly belong to someone, and she will give them all the love and loyalty in the world in return. She is a cautious girl, it takes her a minute to warm up to new people and situations, but she handles her fear well and is getting better all the time. She’s great with other dogs, but is most comfortable with a patient introduction. She adores children, but is probably better suited to adults and older children due to her timid nature. She is currently in the home of foster parents who just adore her. They say she’s perfectly behaved with their dogs and an absolute joy. MAGGIE walks beautifully on a leash without pulling, and will be an excellent companion. All she needs is a little love, patience and a family to adore and trust for a lifetime.

MAGGIE is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.
Her $450 adoption fee includes her interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the Midwest once she is adopted.

Please email the completed application to ddglenn66@aim.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and organize our own private transports to the Midwest.

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
