Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello! This is Tweed (we call her Tweedy). This lovely gal is a happy, go-lucky 6 month old border collie and Aussie mix pup with tons of energy. She is up to date on shots, on heartworm/flea preventative, and will be getting fixed in January 2019. When I say she has tons of energy, SHE LOVES TO PLAY. Considering her past, she has come quite a way from being closed off. She is quite goofy and has the most adorable underbite. She stays smiling and showing her little pearly whites! When she sniffs you, she rubs her snoot and teeth all over you. It is quite hilarious. She can still be a little shy, but after getting to know you she will open-up easily. Sometimes she will shy away if she feels too stressed out. In that case, we put her in her crate so that she can calm down a bit. She is content being alone with a toy in her crate. She is crate trained and loves to sleep there at night.
She is also very smart. She is potty trained with minimal accidents but also knows how to use puppy pads. We have been working on leash training recently. She is getting better at it, but if you have treat's she is extremely food-motivated. Once she finally settles down, she loves belly rubs and chest scratches. She loves to chill on the couch after running and playing with her foster sister. We have tried to teach her to fetch, but it's not commuting very well. She prefers to chase her foster sister who is chasing said ball. With that being said, she would do awesome in a home with other playful pups. She has been kid-tested and approved (1 year old and 7 year old) and she loves cats. Sometimes she can have a little too much energy, so a home with a puppy-savvy cat and dog would be preferred. The perfect family would be one that is loving, patient, as well as energetic. She will need a fenced in backyard to run and play. Also, she does not travel well as she has very bad car sickness, so it would be great for a family that doesn't travel much. Tweed is waiting to hear from her furever family! Give this sweet gal a chance and you will not be disappointed.
She is being fostered in Dothan, Alabama. Here is the link to our application!
