Here's what the humans have to say about me:
BISCUIT IS BEING FOSTERED IN RALEIGH, NC. YOU MUST BE WILLING TO DRIVE HERE FOR PICK UP AT ADOPTION TIME. WE DO NOT HOLD OR SHIP ANIMALS, NO EXCEPTIONS. IF YOU ARE NOT CURRENTLY PREPARED TO TAKE A DOG NOW IF APPROVED, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY AT THIS TIME. THANK YOU.
ADOPTION FEE: $300
BISCUIT is a male MINI Goldendoodle mix, only 2 yrs old. He is NOT a full size Goldendoodle. He is heart worm negative, on monthly preventatives, UTD on vaccines, rabies, microchipped, house trained and recently groomed.
This guy is about 28 lbs and he is stronger than you would think. He gets along well with kids, okay with other dogs UNTIL there is food involved, then you have to feed separate, so we recommend he be an only dog. He does NOT like cats or squirrels. He has a very high prey drive and will not listen to any commands when he sees either of these.
Otherwise Biscuit is playful, energetic, loves to be in a fenced yard to run and play. He also loves to take car rides. He is not destructive in the home, but can be if in a crate more than a couple of hours. He will chew anything you leave in there. A very quick learner and eager to please you, but he needs daily exercise. His current home says he is gentle when you give him a good boy treat, he is excellent in the house, but apparently he does not like being left alone.
What he needs is a very active home, plenty of exercise, a firm, kind upper hand, someone who is the pack leader. His current home admits she has a hard time with him if he wants to do one thing and she wants another, she simply allows him to have his way and afraid he'll be "mad" if she makes him do what she wants. To me this indicates more issues with the human than the dog.
We are looking for an adopter who is very active, will continue with his training and give him the unconditional love he gives to you for the remainder of his life. No small kids or other dogs. He needs all the attention.
If you feel you're the home for Biscuit, please email me for an application.
