Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ADOPTED TO A GREAT HOME.
NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE: We already have a home in the works for this cocker girl. We are accepting backup applications in case it doesn't work out. Please fill out an application to be approved if you are interested.
Meet Yeager, a real sweetheart. She is a small, petite blonde cocker spaniel girl about a year old. She came to rescue 2 days before giving birth to 6 puppies. She and a male cocker were found in the front yard of a nice lady and her family. It was just after Hurricane Florence hit NC. They were wet, dirty, matted and flea infested. Both of them were scared and skittish. This kind person took them inside and cleaned them up. She found out quickly that they must have been backyard dogs and fed only scraps because they wouldn't eat dog food. Being a single mom, she asked for rescue help to take them because she just couldn't afford to keep both of them and she had found out that Yeager was pregnant. CCR arranged transport and they got picked up. (The boy cocker was updated on vet needs and has been adopted out to a wonderful forever home.)
At the rescue vet Yeager got a rabies shot and X-rays showed that yes indeed, she was carrying six puppies. She was slightly anemic, her ears looked pretty good and she was so thin you could see her ribs and hip bones. We put her on a good food diet right away and fed her three times a day.Our rescue foster mommy made her a warm, comfortable birthing crate and put it in a quiet place away from noise and distractions. Two days later, this little lady gave birth to 6 puppies all by herself. She was a good mother and very protective of her kids. Now all of them are weaned and growing (THEY ARE ALL SPOKEN FOR WITH HOMES IN THE WORKS) so now this little cocker girl can find a loving forever home of her own. She will be spayed and have a dental the day after Christmas. She will be a wonderful indoor companion for you to love and spend quality time with. We already have a home in the works for her but if you are interested, we are taking backup applications in case it doesn't work out.
Her Adoption Fee is: $400.
