Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ryder: 10 year-old neutered male black Lab mix 60 lbs
What Ryder's owner says: Ryder is a very friendly Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd mix, 10 year old boy. He is neutered and up to date on all his shots. He is being re homed due to no fault of his own, his previous owner has health issues and is no longer able to walk him. He is good with small children and other dogs, however he has never been socialized with cats and will chase them. He loves going for walks and playing with toys that have a squeaker. He also likes to play catch and likes to swim too. Most of all, he loves spending time near his humans. He knows a trick or two, he will shake and roll over and play dead if you say bang bang. Ryder is very gentle and loving, but still a very active, goofy boy. He is crate and house trained and has perfect manners, unless you leave any food out. He will eat human food if he gets the opportunity. Ryder would make a very loyal and loving companion to the lucky family that gets to adopt him.
What Ryder's Rescue Rep says: This sweet boy is a little reserved at first when meeting new people, but you quickly become his new best friend if you play fetch with his squeaky ball. Ryder will make a happy and loving companion for a home that has the time to give him some attention and TLC which he hasn't been getting lately.
Medical Information: Ryder is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He is being treated for some ear, eye, and skin issues which are clearing up nicely. He has a condition called dry eye and will need ongoing eye meds.
Ryder is located in: Concord

(Please keep in mind we are all volunteers, most of us work full time and we all have personal lives. I do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient and I will be back in touch with you. When the dogs are in foster homes then it may take longer as we need to touch base with the fosters for updates on the dogs. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week and we do not have a facility that we keep the dogs housed in. They are scattered all over the Bay Area.)
