My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bella, the beautiful, with deep piercing eyes.....I am a three year old Carolina Dog blend, appearing and behaving much like a Carolina. I am good with cats, dogs, and kids. It does, though, take me time to adjust to a new environment, the sounds, the people and the activity, a CD trait. Once I am comfortable I am very loyal and bond to my human, which has made transitioning for me from rescue, to foster in the South, to travel to foster in the North, to adoption where a move caused me to return to foster. I want more than anything to have a human, to have a forever home. I would like a dog companion, too, because I need that friend to show me what is expected of me as a dog. I am smart, I have basic commands and a few surprises, too. A place that is more rural, with walks in the woods and the smell of earth would fulfill my dreams. Cars and traffic cause me to feel edgy. I do need a special human with lots of love, patience and an understanding of what my full potential can be.
