HAZEL'S STORY
I am a senior kitty who once had a home and people who cared for me, but I would up on the streets, alone and hungry. I didn't know where to go or who to turn to. My name is Hazel, and I was lost and terrified.
Things got worse when I someone doused me with motor oil. The oil made me feel so sick. I could not do much hunting or scavenging for food. I got weaker and weaker.
Right when I was about to give up hope, a kind Samaritan came to save me and got me to Whisker Stop Rescue. My foster mama got me to the vet straight away, and they got all the oil off. They found out I was badly dehydrated and would not have had much time if they had not intervened. I also test positive for FIV. Some rescues would have turned their back on me then, but not this one! Instead, they promised to find me a home where a human all my own would love me.
Now foster mama tells me how beautiful and sweet I am. I feel so happy and safe, but I can't stop yearning for a human all my own to love and cherish. Is there someone out there for me who will love me and keep me safe? I would love a new home for the New Year!
