Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We now have enough applications to adopt Dot and ALL of her her pups. Thanks everyone.
To adopt any dog from us, please see that page at our main website to start our adoption process rather than emailing or calling: www.spokanewienerdogs.org Thanks. We do not adopt from just emails or phone calls but do start with some paperwork please that is if you are truly serious about wanting to adopt a pup from this litter, you can start our adoption process.
Our shelter foster girl, Dot had five brown brindles and one red male pup on January 2nd. Five are boys and one is a girl so of course everyone wants the girl pup! The female already has a family waiting for her so only two boys still available as of 2/6/19. The red male and two brindle males are spoken for plus we will meet the family soon to adopt the little girl pup.
We are not their breeders. This is a shelter momma that we pulled so we have no clue of the mystery daddy no matter how many times we are asked. Dot is a chihuahua/dachshund mix and her pups are "American Mutts" or "Rescued" for those who keep asking their breed. ;-) As the pups age around weaning we will try to guess their daddy. Folks are always welcome to do a DNA test later and let us know if we guessed correctly.
We are taking deposits now to hold your puppy until weaned in March Those deposits are half down and non-refundable. The pup's adoption fee are $300 each. We can do PayPal payments so send me a message ONCE you filled in our adoption form to adopt them please.
We are scheduling folks now to visit the pups at the dog rescue once they are willing to pay their deposit to choose their pup then can come back and adopt them when weaned in March. We prefer to adopt locally so we can follow up and make sure they are spayed and neutered no later than 6 months old or July 2019. Once again, we are adopting these pups locally so they do not have a long drive home when weaned. Plus nice if folks can help socialize their new babies before they take them home for good.
We do not ship our dogs much less puppy shipping for those who keep asking that. We are a rescue, not a puppy mill breeder! Shipping dogs is terrifying for them. Folks can always find adoptable dogs near them by searching local rescuers and shelters or dog adoption sites.
We are located near Spokane, Wash. for those who also keep asking that.
Dot may have a potential home already so thanks everyone asking to adopt her once her pups are weaned and she is spayed. I am guessing she will be available in mid-April for adoption also.
If Dot is an 8 or 9 pound chihuahua/dachshund mix girl so a very small dog and her pups are small so I am guessing around 10 to 14 pounds when done growing. Dot has settled into such a happy, sweet lovable girl who is getting very house broke as well. I expect her pups will have her overly happy, wiggly personality. We already have dog hugging volunteers helping us socialize this litter! Thanks everyone.
Cute puppy photos are on our rescue's page on Facebook so tune in their for updates. I am posting puppy updates constantly since January 3rd.
Again, those wanting to adopt from us go to www.spokanewienerdogs.org and click our To Adopt page please. We start all adoptions with paperwork FIRST please so we can match dogs to new homes rather than just phone calls or emails where I will refer folks back to the web site to actually start the adoption process from us. Yes we still do that even when young pups so we can match them to the right homes.
