This petite little girl is Daisy, a one-year old adorable mixed breed (what her “mix” is remains a mystery)! She is only 30 pounds and fully grown, and the cutest dog ever! She was found as a stray, and even at her young age it appears she has already had a litter of puppies. We don’t know much more of her history, but she was socialized well with people and other dogs, because she loves everyone she meets.
She is technically still a puppy and needs a little bit of work on her house training skills. Her foster family is making tremendous progress, and crate training is working wonders for her. She is very smart, and learns quickly. She has lots of puppy energy, and will need exercise, either long walks, hikes, or playing with another dog.
Daisy is in a foster home with three other dogs and gets along with them all. She loves to play, and she is bouncy and goofy but definitely on the submissive side. She has gorgeous, brown almond shaped eyes, and, in stark contrast to her mostly all white fur, she has a tail like a ring-tailed lemur. The brown/brindle “rings” on her tail make her stand out in a crowd! She is incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle. She adores kids and adults alike. She enjoys playing with squeaky toys and will tilt her head to the side when hearing high pitched noises. Her pictures make her look quite a bit bigger, she is truly a tiny little girl with a huge heart.
Daisy is crate trained, up to date on all her shots, heart worm negative, spayed, and microchipped. She can be a bit shy in new situations, but she handles it well and it doesn’t take her long to get comfortable. She would love a home with another playful dog or a family that has time to exercise her and cuddle with her. She is one of the cutest, friendliest little dogs we have seen in quite some time.
To adopt Daisy, fill out our online dog application , or download our Microsoft Word dog application and return it to sheltersurvivors@live.com. It will help expedite the process.
