Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!***
WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet.

Prancer, female, chihuahua, 15 weeks old, 4.4 lbs, spayed, chipped etc.

Another beautiful little soul & her sibling Prancer are looking for their forever homes. Their mum was pulled from a shelter in CA while she was heavily pregnant & she had her beautiful babies Prancer & Dacher & they are both so very sweet & full of love & energy but oh my there is some cheekiness going on there with all of that puppy energy.

Prancer is a full of life, love & energy puppy, she absolutely needs a home with other very playful dogs in the home or it would be lovely if even she & her sibling Dacher were adopted together so they would always have a playful play mate.

Prancer we believe is a chihuahua but we are not sure if she is mixed with anything as we do not know who her dad was. Prancer is spayed, chipped, up to date on her shots, dewormed & heart worm negative. Prancer weighs roughly 4.4 lbs & is still growing, she loves other dogs, great with people, but is still a puppy & she is full of cheeky puppy ways, who loves to play with other dogs & especially her beloved little brother

Prancer’s foster mum said she is a pure love & joy to have in her home as she plays with all the other dogs & loves to snuggle & is very affectionate & oh so very sweet. So having another playful dog in the home is mandatory when applying for little Prancer.
Prancer also rides well in the car but will need to be taught to walk on a leash as she is still a puppy with all of her puppy energy.

Prancer has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children so this would be up to the new family to be responsible with.

We do not know for sure what breed Prancer is mixed with & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is.

As with all of our rescues & Prancer’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Prancer potty trained.
We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training will in fact take them to training.

Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Prancer & going through the process and have read her listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Prancer who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this adorable little lady.
Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately.

Prancer has an adoption fee of $685 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.

An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well.
As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves.
Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved, a safe environment, a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding.
