Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Who's ready to meet the best cat in the world ever (well, according to his foster mom, anyway)?
Please meet Neptune, aka Tuxie! Neptune is just over two years old but very wise for his years. His theory on life, as shared by many other cats, is that if it's not on the floor, it should be! Neptune is extremely happy, playful, curious and enthusiastic about everything he does. He LOVES playing with and chasing kittens. He still thinks he's a little kitten himself and he certainly plays like it. But above all else, what he absolutely loves more than anything, is his person! His foster mom taught him to jump on command. If you stand a few feet away, call his name and tap your chest, he will launch himself into the air and land on your chest/shoulder. Be aware - sometimes he may try to jump into your arms without you knowing! But he never uses his nails, so if you don't expect it, or don't attempt to catch him, he will just slide down and land on the floor! He just wants to be near, or on his person at all times. When Neptune is on you, he does not stop rubbing his head all over your face or hair. He loves ponytails! Neptune will definitely need another younger cat buddy or two in his new home to help burn off his extra energy. Neptune would be ok with a calm dog, as long as it doesn't chase him.
Neptune and his family were rescued from a hoarding house, along with many other cats. All the cats were in very poor health. Neptune was taken immediately to the vet and from the moment he was taken out of the carrier, he was purring up a storm and aggressively rubbing all over anyone near him. Sadly, even though he is only two years old, Neptune's teeth and gums were in terrible condition, so he had to have all but his canine teeth removed. Neptune also has a chronic kitty cold that is aggravated by stress. Being in a foster home with many other cats and kittens coming and going, can trigger his symptoms. Once he is settled in his forever home, without stress, he should be completely fine. Neptune is the only one left of his family still waiting for his forever home.
So, who wants to meet the best cat in the world? Neptune is waiting patiently at his foster home to jump into your arms and smother your face with rubs and purrs.
