Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi!! my name is Stewart and I have had quite an adventure. I was surrendered at a place they called the shelter awhile back. I didn’t look or feel like myself and it was very scary. But they made me feel much better and gave me baths and medicine until I got what’s called a rescue. That’s when my foster family took me to their house to take care of me and learn a little about me. It was found I had heartworm but they fixed me and now I’m feeling much better. I’m around 4 years old, I hear them say they can’t believe how sweet natured I am after everything I have been through. Let me say my foster home is pretty cool. There are 4 other dogs I get to play with and these little creatures called ducks and chickens. I think they are pretty cool I don’t bother them at all. I haven’t got to meet any small humans or kitty cats yet but I wouldn’t be opposed to meeting either to see how we would like each other as long as they are old enough to not want to climb on me, pinch me, or hit me because that might make me scared again. I mean I’m a pretty chill guy who can roll with things pretty easily. I have gotten better with being so scared with fast movement..it even scared me when people would lift a bottle to drink from. But I am learning in my new life things are much different for me and I no longer have to be afraid. I haven’t really told anyone what exactly happened in my life that made me so scared but they know it wasn’t good. I’ve been with the rescue named Joannie’s Place - A Senior Dog Sanctuary 501c3 and they have done such a wonderful job getting me healthy again! They just partnered with someone named Flint City Pits to help find me a new home. I really like that they want to work together to help me! I am still getting medicated baths to help my fur and skin look normal again it’s almost all back to normal and that makes me feel so much better, I mean we all want to look the best we can right. It’s probably important that I tell you I don’t like to make messes in the house either, I do my business outside. I have been trained to go into a crate if you need me to but lately I haven’t had to at my foster home. I am still struggling with my skin allergies and itchiness so have been taking meds and getting medicated baths that help soothe my skin and itching. I look forward to meeting my potential family soon. If you’re interested in meeting me you can find applications at flintcitypits.com/adopt.
